Subject: Re: [BWG] How to suppress MS Office's capitalization of 'i in Baha'i From: "Cary Enoch R... aka Enoch's Vision, Inc." Date: Fri, 06 Jan 2012 13:27:00 -0600 To: Baha'i Writers I'm not a Word expert. I used to be when I had to use during my days at Redmond. Carl Fravel's (see his original message) tip will work. I mostly live in Photoshop nowadays. Here's something else you can do. Open this page in your browser: http://enochsvision.com/downloads/ Right-click on the file named bahai.dic and choose "Save Link As..." and choose a location to save it. Don't try to edit the file directly. It's just a list of plain text entries but I saved it as Unicode (full eight-bit characters). Notepad might alter it so that Word can't use it. Open Word. Click on File. Click on Options. It's near the bottom of the list. Click on Proofing. Locate the "Custom Dictionaries..." button and click on it. Click on the Add button. Browse to the bahai.dic file that you downloaded and click on it. You're done. You can add or modify entries in your new custom dictionary as needed. For older versions of Word before 2007: Go to Tools, then Options, then Spelling & Grammar. Click on "Dictionaries" and then "Add." Browse to and select the "bahai.dic" file and it will be added to your list of custom dictionaries so you can use it to check your spelling. You can further customize the dictionary.
